Are you feeling blue?
Only for blue makeup products of course! These babies landed on my desk a few weeks ago now, i have had a little play with them to give you guys a review on my thoughts.
Scout Cosmetics was generous enough to send through these items to see how creative i could be with them, of course my final photo is down below.
I decided to step out of my comfort zone a little, because blue eyeshadow isn't typically my go to shade as i am sure it isn't most peoples first choice either! Since i was working with a crazy colour to start off with i thought it would be appropriate to do something that i don't usually do! I created a smokey winged liner and a inner corner wing using the crayon and topped it off with the shimmery eyeshadow, to my surprise it is actually a very wearable look!
The products alone are beautiful, they sent through a crayon and a loose mineral eyeshadow.
The crayon is in the colour 'blue' and the loose mineral eyeshadow is in the colour 'Harlem Blues'. The crayon is really nice, it does need to be warmed up a bit for it to be creamy but it does have a good amount of pay off, i used it for a base for the eye look. The pigment is AMAZING! Great colour pay off and its slightly shimmery but its not overpowering, in my opinion i think its beautiful.
Now lets gets down to business about Scout Cosmetics.
Scout Cosmetics is a Australian brand that provides mineral makeup, organic skincare and nail polish. It is also Australian certified organic! The brand was created in 2008 by a woman named Sylvie Hutchings as well as her husband Guy. Sylvies story is quite inspiring, a link to her website will be down below i highly recommend reading "Sylvies Story'.
In Sylvies words -
“I wanted to ensure that my customers were able to enjoy colour, style, luxury and effectiveness of great cosmetics and skincare without being exposed to potentially harmful or unnecessary ingredient compounds of which the long term effects are unclear”
